Calibre Point .50 vs Rockrider 8.1 - any reviews?

Guys,
I've tried searching the usual places but can't seem to find a head to head review of the above bikes?
The Rockrider review on Bikeradar is for the 2010 version - can't seem to find a more up to date review.

I've basically narrowed my shortlist to these two bikes.

Are the forks on both of these coil sprung?

Rockrider is regarded as one of the best at that price. Only beaten by special offers and second hand.

Never heard of the other bike so I went searching ..... equipment looks okay for the price but not seen any reviews.

Was looking for comparison review of the two - doesn't look like there is one though.

I know the RR is considered to punch above it's price point - but not sure what spec the forks are now. Also can't find an up to date review - spec has changed since 2010 - now has Tektro brakes etc.

Not of great use to you but I had the 2010 model as reviewed in BR.

It was superb and way above its price point.

The Rockrider has Rockshox Recon forks.

Probably the coil spring version (my 2011 Rockrider 8.1 has the Recon Silver TK coil spring version, with Poploc), but still a step above the TK32 forks of the Calibre.

Thanks for the info.

Despite the brakes, I think the RR has a slightly better spec.
