As nice as this thing is I reckon I'd buy a real Mcoy Ti from the 80's & fit it out with Athena. There's usually a few on Retrobike or eBay at any one time. The Worksop built frames are still quite common but the Ilkeston (stamped SB????) are usually worth that bit more & that much more scarce. The only bug bear may be the rear spacing to accommodate the wider hub of a more modern group set. It's only 4mm difference but 531 (the most common material) will bend quite easily where as 753 (The Daddy) requires specialist help.

I've had a real soft spot for these old Raleigh's since I was a kid (80's tackle in general) & as tasty as the retro re-hash is I'd always plump for an older frame/bike & turn it into something special.
