Best place to sell bike

I have two bike that I am looking to sell to change for a cyclocross.

2014 Boardman Road Pro Carbon XL and a 2013 Specialized Rockhopper XL. Where is the best bet, ebay, gumtree? What sort of price would I be looking to recuperate?

I have seen some strong prices on EBay at the moment, but there are loads of time wasters, many a time are bikes listed as the buyer drops out

The simple answer is ... all of the above.

List them everywhere. Then just add a line to your ebay advert to say that you reserve the right to end the auction early as it's (they're) advertised elsewhere.

I've been looking at bikes a lot lately and bought three. One from gumtree, one from ebay (£26 for a giant mtb for the mrs - result!) and one from cyclechat.

eBay, List it as buy it now, for the highest price others sold for recently .
That avoids snipers and wasters...
