Cycled to Lynmouth

First long ride (well, long for me) yesterday. Rode to Lynmouth.

Managed to climb all the way out too, up Lynmouth hill, without stopping, which I was pretty chuffed about.
Those that have tried to ride it will know...

I've just been there, never mind cycled it - that's a swine for sure.

I live on the edge of Exmoor, so have done that one quite a few times. There are plenty of nasty climbs on the moor and North Devon gives you little rest!

Were you visiting or do you live in the area?

Live in Barnstaple, but grew up in Combe Martin.

Never ridden around Lynmouth though.

Combe Martin! Did a Motorhome show thee once in the sea fog, stayed in the deck o cards? Strange place in the fog!

That'll be the Pack 'o Cards - a pub built by a local landowner to celebrate his gambling win (must have been a flippin big win!). The pub has got 4 floors (for the suits), 13 Chimneys (cards in suit) and 52 windows (cards in pack). Paul Daniels did one of his magic tricks for his TV show there back when I was a kid.
