Nissan GT-R/bike portage - goer?

File under first world problems and all that but has anyone ever managed to carry a bike in a GT-R? A press car booking and trip to BPW beckon and I'm hoping the two can be combined but off the top of my head I can't recall how big the boot is or whether you can flatten the rear seats. Am guessing probably a) not very and b) likely not but if anyone with any experience of attempting to do so can pipe up that'd be much appreciated!

If you still have the stabilisers for your bike you could just tow it

Doesn't look like its going to fit the frame in that boot. Maybe two wheels in the boot and the frame across the back seats. You can get material chain protectors that wrap round the chain ring and rear mech, so you wouldn't get oil on the seats.

Also worth removing the seat post and the pedals too.

Hmm... I reckon it's a worth a shot. I used to get a bike in the boot of my old Merc 190 2.3-16 and that had a fixed bulkhead. OK, it didn't have a grrrt big dual-clutch transmission in a transaxle under the boot floor either but with a 5mm Allen key and some determination I reckon I can contrive something. Failing that I could always take the Brompton. It's got rear suspension at least.

I manage to get mine in the R129 relatively easily. I would assume the GTR has larger rear seats. If not then have a look at something like this...

Looking at that boot I would say no chance!

I have an M6 and getting my bike in the boot is a very tight squeeze with both wheels off. By the looks of it my boot is much deeper than that one.

I can get a bike in the boot of my Z4, with the roof in it too.

It's probably very safe but I'd be worried about using something like that, I'd be stopping every mile or so to check it.

They work brilliantly. Mate has one for his 200sx, no problems taking mountain bikes on highways and gravel roads.

I thought so too. But I'm sure there's a video somewhere of a 911 doing a bit of track work with a bike secured using only the power of suction!

I got my speed concept into my Cayman a few times. tight, had to remove handle bars, seat post, and wheels. but it went in.

Seriously? I've had the roadbike inside an MX5, surely you can get it in a skyline. Wheels off, bars/seatpost (if necessary), recline the front seat as flat as possible and put it through the gap. Boot is probably useless, but plenty of space inside - or there ought to be, they're the size of a bus..
