Bloody spokes

Another spoke pinged today on my commuter bike, that's 3 in the last month or so, is it ok to just keep replacing them or should i just get a new wheel ?

I really do not want to spend a fortune, i just want a strong spoked wheel to get me through the winter months.

Are they all the same side and direction? I have replaced just the eight spokes on the cassette side that are under tension when you pedal before now.

Just get the wheel built again with new spokes. Same happened to me, one would go every month or so- got pissed off with it so got them all done and was fine after.

I was getting this last year on my work bike. I'm commuting about 6,000 miles a year.

I'm no lightweight these days and I carry luggage which doesn't help either.

I had the wheel built for £27 + cost of 32x DT Swiss spokes.

Haven't had another spoke break since.

Some stock wheels are built with the cheapest weakest spokes imaginable.
