Where about are you? I've got one that hasn't done many miles.
Put a pair on to replace some cheap and nastys that came on the bike, didn't like them one bit! Didn't give masses of grip and terrible for punctures! The rear ripped open on me, and that was enough!
Swapped them for some conti black chilli trail kings and won't be looking back.

To be honest with you I am a bit confused as to what tyre to go for. I need it for the rear and thought a like for like replacement would be OK. I have only started to use the bike off road for the last two weeks, having recovered from a long term knee injury. I have just had a quick search on various sites and they all seem to be saying what you just told me!
