Good value cycle work stand

I'd like a stand to use for maintenance and cleaning the bike. So it has to be off the ground and be able to spin/remove the wheels and also spin the pedals.

I like the look of the Park Tools PCS9 and PCS10, but they are both the best part of £100, and there are some others available for 25-30% of the price.



Are the Park ones worth the extra? Or if there a lower cost alternative that does 9/10ths as good a job for a lower price? Advice welcome.

I couldn't tell you if it's the exact model I got as I put one on my wish list (on Amazon) and someone else bought it for me, so I can't remember exactly which seller it was from, but they all look the same.

Got to say, it's impressive for the cost.

Very sturdy, nicely adjustable and a quarter of the price of the Park tools one.

I've got the PCS9 - think I paid just over £80 with an offer about a year ago.

Well worth it, properly solid and will last a lifetime. Hasn't got a fancy clamp, but unless you're properly hamfisted it will be fine. Having a workstand has totally transformed my approach to maintenance. It is soooo much easier it is unreal.

I've got what looks to be exactly the same one, albeit sold by Black Dog Cycles on Amazon, and it gets my vote too. Excellent, sturdy stand, and up to the job for anything I've ever tried to do with it.

Having bought cheaper stands in the past, I recently bought a Park Tools PCS-10 for £110. Yes it's not cheap but the quality is why I bought it. The PCS-10 stand is excellent and will last probably a life time.
