I'd go with utterly fked.

Very few people will repair aluminium frames and the cost would be almost as much as what the bike is worth.

Given the location I would be surprised if anyone would do it and would you trust a repair weld around the seatpost?

if your the first owner and have a receipt Scott have always been the best for exchange frames. How long is the seat post ? If you have no warranty, its the bin to be honest.

I had an Alu frame welded on a cracked seat-stay a few years ago, the frame promptly cracked each side of the weld! Bin it.....

Just curious - was the end of the seatpin lower than the junction of the tubes or higher?

I haven't had a chance to have a proper look at it as I got a lift home last night, lobbed it in the garage & now I'm back on my way to work.

I did manage to find the receipt though, bought new in Jan 2011, I'll give my LBS a tinkle later & see what they say.

Ironically this came after a weekend of TLC & fettling, the seat post was quite hight but it's an XL frame & I'm 6'4" so it should've been within the spec of the bike, having said that I think I'll be investing in a longer seat post at some point.

Update.
Got my bike back the other day, fully re-built under warranty by my local LBS http://www.53-12.com/ with a new frame from Scott.
Very impressed with the customer service of both firms!

If you have the frame It could be used for turbo only.

Depending where you are in the country I would have a got at welding it for you for beer money but it could end up in the bin anyway.
