Any strong opinions on Mekk Bikes?

A pal of mine is looking at getting a road bike and has asked me what I think about Mekk.

I can't say it is a brand I have ever thought particularly hard about. No idea on what his budget is, but does anyone have any strong opinion wither way on the brand in general?

My neighbour has one, and is very happy with it.

It's a Poggio with carbon frame and mostly Tiagra running gear. Seems pretty good for what it is, although I've not really had much of a poke around it.

Looking on Wiggle they have some pretty hefty discounts on them at the moment too, making them very good VFM.

Chap I ride with has one, in addition to his Spec Roubaix and a Cube, primarily uses it as his winter bike with no complaints.
