Tesco Club Card Rewards for bike stuff.....

I received our latest clubcard rewards vouchers last week and noticed that the scheme is currently offering £2.50 of clubcard rewards exchange for £5.00 of Evans vouchers.
We struggle to use our clubcard rewards and usually end up exchanging them for Pizza Express vouchers, so getting bike stuff for free is infinitely more attractive than a soggy pizza!
I managed to get myself a nice pair of Giro Empires on discount at £159.99 for £80 of vouchers - so in essence free!

And they will price match any online retailer too

Used some Clubcard vouchers for a recent trip to Alton Towers and using the balance this year on the Boost scheme to get an X-Box.
In the past they've taken is to Disneyland Paris.

There's a guy I know bought his last car on his Tesco Credit Card, got all the points, waited for the 4xface value offer at Goldsmiths and got a Tag Heuer for the equivalent of £400 in points.
If you can be arsed with all the to-ing and fro-ing it's worthwhile.
We got a discounted Eurotunnel Crossing as Tesco Vouchers were worth 2x face value on that.

I've done the Goldsmiths thing before (Xmas stuff for Mum), but ours usually buy Merlin passes (every other year) and of course Pizza Express vouchers. The most we've ever had saved is about £400-worth though, not quite enough for a TAG never mind a Rolex!
Might try to wangle a few bits and bobs from Evans now though. Will have to fight the rest of the pizza-loving family for the privilege...

We used to get the passes as we live 5 mins away from Legoland and 20 mins from Thorpe Park. It got to the point where the kids were begging us not to go to theme parks and just wanted to kick a ball around at the local park, that's when we stopped renewing them!MadDad said:

Yeah, hence the alternating years thing. We're not much further away so Legoland and Chessington get hit frequently, with Alton Towers a few times a year too. As you say though, theme park fatigue sets in after a while!With a family of four, using Tesco CCs and the nearest large supermarket being a Tesco (with a petrol station) it is quite easy to rack up a good couple of hundred pounds in vouchers.
If the Evans thing is a long-term deal I may save up for something worthwhile.
Anyone know how long they've been on Clubcard for? It's a new one to me, but then I've only been getting back into cycling over the past 12 months or so.
I don't think it is quite as transparent as £X spent = X points, the clubcard reward scheme gives 1 point per £1 spent with Tesco or its partners, if you use your Tesco credit card there is some sort of acceleration of points - I believe it is an additional point for every £4 spent on the CC.....
Rule or thumb is £1 spent = 1 point, 100 points = £1.00 in rewards, but this varies depending on where you use your CC and where you shop!

In true PH fashion, I have a Tesco Finest CC which gives 1 point for every £2 spent!
I rack up a lot of miles with my job and buy all my diesel at Tesco using the CC. This is on top of £120 per week on groceries and all other spend on the CC (not paid off monthly all the time in violation of true PH fashion)so normally get between £80-£100 worth of Clubcard vouchers each quarter.
