That's a very nice looking machine, frameset is a bit on the spicey side for pricing, but still comes in cheaper than the Niner BSB cross frame.

^ I had that problem when they released the latest Bronson. Thought, "that looks nice, I'll investigate", not realising how much Santa Cruz bikes generally are. The ENVE wheel added £1.5k to that one as well. Still £5.5k without them.

Santa Cruz have always been overpriced that's why you don't see lots of their mountain bikes when out on the trails, that considered I don't consider them to be a "premium" bike brand like Nicolai, Yeti.

Just a pity that the price puts it out of the reach of mere mortals, plus for 800 quid less than the cost of the bare frameset, you can have a complete carbon CX bike with a Sram hydraulic groupset....

Lovely but way too expensive. In that sector there just isn't enough difference between frame designs to justify that price tag. At least on road frames you're paying for wind-tunnel time etc. or on FS bikes licensed suspension designs.

I'd rather have the planet x Ti CX bike TBH and spend the delta on another bike.

Don't believe that's a stipulation, the pair you were born with will do fine. It's not exclusively for amputees.
