Went out with the lads as we always do on a Thursday, flying downhill I see a small grey flash, I swerve but feel it thump my knee then go under the rear wheel.

Stopped and went to find it, definitely not with us anymore, in the middle of no where and it was definitely a wild one so kicked it off into the verge.

Feel a bit guilty now though

Yep, should have picked it up and put it in the pot for dinner.

I've run over the tip of a squirrel's tail after it tried to run between my front and back wheel. It sort of did a star jump and made a loud squeak before running off!

Hare today, gone tomorrow... life is certainly fleeting.

Did the same a few years ago, but I went over the middle of its back. I turned round to find its front end working, its rear not. Decided the best thing was to knock it on the head. Poor thing.

Ironically it happened on Bunny Lane in Romsey.

I had a black bird fly into my front wheel last summer, took its head clean off.

At least it was quick.

Lol

Down hill about 35mph, it flew into my front wheel behind my fork, so it was a spoke-fork decapitation. Made me jump thats for sure!

I've been chased by a badger before (when I lived in Surrey). One of the local mtb groups once went out and a guy ran over a rotting badger only to flick up rotting flesh into the open mouth of the rider behind,

Ran over a snake when I was in the Norfolk Broads, it had gone into the long grass by the time I had turned round.

Going downhill about 20mph, hit a cat - the impact threw the bike up in the air, and if I hadn't been on fixed wheel I think I'd have come off. When I stopped there was a fair amount of fur and blood on the chainring! I looked around unsuccessfully to find the feline, but I think it only used one of it's 9, and had made a hasty retreat.

I ran over an already dead, but very fat Hedgehog whilst riding in a group. Its guts shot out and went up my leg, shoe and front chain ring where it very quickly made its way way in to the rear mech.

It was a bugger to dig out of the jockey wheels and cassette with a tiny screw driver vomit

Hosed the bike off when I got home, but have it a proper going over this afternoon.

Found quite a bit of hair, blood and some skin on the rear mech, didn't smell as much as I thought it was going to!
