Does anyone here race track?

I'm intregued as to why I amy have let myself for! I've just signed up to a taster session my local outdoor Velodrome, as the club is only 2 miles from work and run training sessions mid week which for me is perfect.

Only down side is I can see it being another adiction, I am very competative when I get going and its yet another bike!

Im racing tonight as i do every Monday night at the Olympic Velodrome ... Been waiting since i was a small boy to have a Indoor facility to race and train on ?

What track do you have your taster booked on ? If you like it the first thing you should do is book a indoor track to taster on , 10 times more fun !!

I spent my Youth and about 10 years total racing at Welwyn ... You will enjoy it , and hope the weather holds out for you , nothing worse than the wind effecting track racing !

You're right! I loved it except for the stiff head wind on the home straight!

I can see me going back for plenty more, and might get my self a race licence to boot! There was only 4 seniors there and got a bit of poetic licence when it came to the no racing rule 4 juniors were hell bent on catching the seniors on the TTT drills. To be fair they would have over taken us if the lead loudmouth han't called out were going to catch you!

I'll be going back for more, thats for certain.
