Hello,

My current specialized cycling helmet is nice and light. However, in the rain - because it has a lattice structure - has plenty of holes to let the rain in.

Any recommendations on a brand/model that would be a bit more covered - just something suitable for commuting.

Shower cap and old helmet not something I'd consider!

Thanks,

nammynake

Presumably this is to keep your head warm? Just wear a cap under your helmet.

Lazer helmet with aeroshell? Should stop most of the rain and also useful for us baldies!

Wear a cycling cap under your helmet. You can get rain cover things, but you'll look like a total plum.

This is the answer. They are usually high viz and look pretty daft. I'd try a skull cap, but in my experience, you can get very hot with those. I have one and I have only every used it once.

Any of the skate/dirt jump helmets should do the job as they're typically less ventilated. I have a Bluegrass Superbold as it's one of the cheapest to still have an adjustable cradle at the rear.

If it's for commuting, I carry a Night Vision waterproof cover in my rucksack.
