Look what I found when cleaning my bike on Friday, getting it ready for Saturday's Championship Sportive frown

It's just a boggo Shimano RS10 rear wheel, but still disappointing to find.

There are actually a total of 6 cracks (this one by far the worst) all on the drive side oddly.

I still did the 97 mile sportive, worrying a little on some of the bumps, but none of them seem to have got any bigger.

All on the DS because that's where the spokes are in most tension - the NDS spokes make a bigger angle and carry considerably less tension.

If the wheel is reasonably new, I'd try complaining. Otherwise I'd just bin it; it is simply a matter of time before one, more or several go.

The wheel is almost 2 years old, with about 2500 miles in it.

I've emailed the supplier pictures, so we'll see what they say.

Recently found a load of cracks on a year old set of 3T accelero wheels which came with my P3. Wrote an email to the shop explaining, and it ended up being a known manufacturing issue, and was sent a new set.

Worth getting in touch with the people you bought them from, or maybe even Shimano.
