Hi Folks, I'm looking to help a neighbour establish some road craft and build confidence to start commuting as above- what route would you recommend? Thanks.

straight down the embankment, I wouldn't both the Knightsbridge etc route just stick to the river

Conversely, I'd say if he's not that confident, he might do better to start off going through Kensington, through the parks, onto the Albert Embankment to Blackfriars, then right past the Black Friar to Bank, and cut across from there.

It'd probably be slower than going along the Embankment but means he won't have to fight his way around the Hammersmith Roundabout.
