Lightest single speed MTB circa £3000

I've been obsessing recently about buillding a ultra light hardtail bike and am ready to take the plunge. I am wondering how low is it possible to go with my budget. Is sub 11, 12 pounds possible?

If anyone has any links to similiar builds or lightweight frames etc please post them here.

it might a bit more money to do it proper justice

but you can start with a sub 1kg frameset I suppose

How much do you weigh its easier and cheaper to shed weight of a rider than a bike.

I bought a last years model Cannondale flash 1 for £2700. Its very light even with its gears still attached. It must be around 7kg i think.

No idea about cost though and there are some high end bits on the build sheet but given that's got suspension forks and gears you could save money and weight on this set up
