Am I correct in assuming that the seat height on my old bike, which has been bikefitted, would transfer across to the new bike I have just bought ?

They are both road bikes, had the new bike fitted but got a sore lower back within 15mins riding and the new bikes saddle is 1cm taller than my old bike.

give it a try, lower it by 1cm and see how it feels

Don't forget to check the seat position using the KOP (Knee over pedal) rule as well as the seat height!

I had a bike fit done on my road and TT bikes. Both came out with the same bottom bracket centre to saddle centre measurement. I copied this across to my CX bike (also involved putting saddle up quite a lot) as well as flipping the stem and found it way more comfy.

Dropped the seat to match my old bike and 30miles later only a slight twinge in the lower back, so job done.
