The Program (Lance Armstrong Movie)

Anyone going to see it when it comes out on Friday??

Reviews have been fairly decent but don't think it tells us anything new. I did read the actor that plays Lance took some performance enhancing drugs so he could fully immerse himself in the role.

Also heard on the GCN show that Dr Ferrari is trying to stop the release in Italy as is shows Ferrari injecting Armstrong something which he never done.... apparently.

I'd like to see it but I'm going to wait till it's on sky/Netflix/whatever.

I hope to because the scenery is apparently wonderful it. I still can't hate the guy like lots of people I have zero sympathy for him and he did race in an era where taking EPO and the likes was common place.
I do not think he was the the cause of other riders taking drugs I just wish cycling could have an adult conversation about perfromance enhancing drugs.

You shouldn't hate him because of the drugs, it was his bullying and outrageous public front that made him a total .

This is 100% the way I view the whole things. Others have doped and been accepted but they didn't resort to the lower than a snakes belly behaviour LA did.

I liked part of his character he shook the peleton up and that was a good thing. He was a complete tt of a man and he still has not acknowledged this. I would love to talk with him privately and get the treal truth which is cyclists take drugs

He has admitted he was a complete tw@t and a bully plenty of times, he's apparently tried apologising to lots of people with varying degrees of success.

I know what your saying but its all been a case of too little too late. He is public enemy number one to a lot of people in Cycling and he may well always be.

Watched this last weekend, well worth a watch. Ben foster puts in a good performance as lance and Chris I dowd isn't too bad. There is also a lot of focus on Floyd landis which is interesting. The main problem is it tried to cram so much into under two hours! I saw it at the premier and the cast and david Walsh did a q&a at the end - interesting how they really reflected that it isn't black and white with lance at all, a very complex situation he had got himself in really. Foster was saying how he felt he had to keep going with the lie for the benefit of livestrong and those that depended on it, whereas Walsh unsurprisingly said he just used this as a convenient shield to deflect the accusations
