While a good deal there seems to be a lot of power meter deals popping up recently. I think a fairly hefty price drop across the board will happen early next year. Or is this just my wishful thinking?

I really wouldn't be surprised if the Vector prices drop again.
They've been heavily discounted a couple of times this year by Rose Bikes who had them for £700 each time for the pair of Vector 2's.
They're facing pretty stiff competition from Powertap with their P1 pedals which can be had for about £880 a set from Wiggle at the moment.
