Replacing my brake calipers with Shimano 105 5800's on my Ventura CP50, rear has gone on OK.
Front however, the little lever to open/close the caliper for wheel removal seems to be wrong. The metal bit that sticks out (excuse poor explanation) & moves around until it locks out on the plastic bit on the caliper is in the wrong position so it won't lock out. The whole piece where the cable terminates just wants to turn, the brake will work to a fashion but it's clearly not right & probably not safe.
Looking at it, it doesn't seem like I can adjust it, is it a manufacturing fault, just bad luck?
Why is it always the simple bloody jobs...

Not the best pic I'm afraid, old iPhone in dark garage with overhead strip lighting. Little metal piece clearly sticking out at bottom SHOULD lock out onto the plastic lump at about 11 o'clock but it all seems to be out of kilter & no obvious way (to me) of adjusting it?!

Ok, there is a self adhesive cover that comes off easily enough, it's not an Allen key behind it though!
Took a brave pill & forced the thing round, seems to have worked so all is well (hopefully!)
Is it worth swapping the OE pads for my Clarks CPS240 ones? Sureley even I can manage that without something going wrong?!
Cheers guys, appreciate the advice
Edited to say, apologies for the cables lol!
