Single speed frame

Is anybody able to point me in the direction of a cheap single speed frame to replace the boardman comp sc frame I snapped. I'll be looking to transfer everything else over.

No idea what's good and what's not. Many thanks.

Loads on ebay that look cheap, although depends if you want horrizontal dropouts.

Guess it depends on how similar you want to go in terms of getting stuff like Seatposts/headsets/BBS to fit in terms of measurements as apposed to choice

If it was me I'd go for a Genesis or Charge frame, SH/New. I like the look of the Bianchi and Wilier offerings, they seem a bit pricey due to Italian tax, look nice though. Looking on Ebay genesis hold their value well, so not really bargains.

TBH though I use my SS for comuteing/shops/pub so would get a cheap/sturdy/plain steel frame, so i didnt have to worry about crashing/it being nicked.

Sorry, forgot to mention it must have guard eyelets on the rear. The Dolan does not.

The On-One Pompino is a good frameset (steel db) so unlikely to break! I've has one a couple of years now, and it rides well c £130 atm from Planet X. I don't know if the parts you have will fit though!

Crikey, was 129.99 last week. I'm almost tempted to get a spare one, couldn't get a frame painted to that quality for £99. Mine cost £120 (from their Ebay shop) in 2014, which I considered a steal.

Is that a problem? They are cheap as chips and give good braking - If using straight bars just use V's, if using drops use mini v's or get V specific drop levers.

I fully understand - But surely it depends on the total cost involved? I don't know what other frame options you have in mind, but for the quality they may be more pricey than buying £99 frame plus £25 brakes?

Went for the On One in the end. Gonna build it up with guards and a rack and return my cross bike to road/cross spec.
