Specialized frame warranty

I was giving my wife`s bike a clean last week when I noticed the headstock was cracked.

It`s a 12 year old Specialized Crossroads and, although quite old, has had a reasonably easy life riding mostly on paths through the New Forest and Moores Valley Country Park.

I took the bike, along with the receipt (still amazed we had it after all that time) to my LBS and within 48 hours Specialized have confirmed they will cover it under warranty.

We can either have a new bike with a suitable discount or a new equivalent frame and all the components swapped over.

To say I`m happy is an understatement....

Yes, I've found specialized very good for warranty stuff. I don't live too far from their uk hq and have called up in advance and dropped the bike off for them to carry out work while I wait.

I had 4 replacement frames from Marin over 6 years (same original bike), it does pay to deal with the bad big companies.
