BTWIN RockRider 500 alternative?

Hey all,
I can't see a thread for this and I really didn't want to start another 'what bike' thread but I need some help.
My brother is pestering me for a suitable bike for his son, previously he has bought 2 of the 500's but they seem to be discontinued.
I'm trying to find something for a 139cm child of similar spec but really struggling. Does anyone know a suitable replacement in the 200-300 category?

My son's slightly smaller version is great, and the price is within range.
It doesn't have the "suspension" of the Rockrider, or the disc brakes, but it's a whopping 4kg lighter than the XS Rockrider!!!

You're probably right, sadly. What sort of riding does your nephew actually do? If he's just pootling around with mates in the park, then cheap, nasty and heavy is probably the right way to go if it looks cool, as he'll be more likely to ride it.
If he's actually into proper trails riding, then I'd say try and get him a ride on a Frog (including some significant uphill) before he writes it off.
If you need to combine discs, suspension and not have the bike share the weight and handling characteristics of a small elephant, then the only choice you've got is to buy second hand which might prove tricky on such a small frame.

It will be more of park riding, my brother way keen to get something close to the other rockrider because it's lasted well with the abuse the kids give it.What sort of riding does your nephew actually do?
