Has anyone here got Fizik shoes and how do they size up compared with Giro?

I've got some r3 or r5's, carbon sole kangaroo leather right?

I wear a 44 and got a44 - spot on which is nice as I have quite wide feet, but plenty of adjustment. They do them cheap on Planet X a lot, brilliant for the money you pay. Best road shoe I've used and no signs of wear with quite a lot of use.

Mine are bright red though which I wouldn't have by choice, but I got them for a good price so who cares.

Can't remember if mine are the R3 or R5, I got them a year or so ago (very) cheap from Planet X. I got size 47, and would probably normally wear 46, (my Bonts are a 46 I think.)

They seem to be a little bit bigger, so probably size about right. They're very comfortable, dry quickly and I'm happy with them. I use them as my commuting shoe, so wearing with work / warmer winter socks leaves them spot on. If I could find come 46s for the same price, I'd probably buy them for the summer with thinner socks, and leave the Bonts for TT duty.

Good shoes, especially for what I paid for them.

I have a pair of Fizik's that i just don't get on with , they are just too big @ 47 , my sidi's are fairly tight at 46 so figured a 47 would be just right.

they just don't feel right.

i should really put them on EBAY as i've only worn them a couple of times

If you were a 'lady' right now Planet X have some Fizik R3 ladies shoes that were £209, are on their site at £79.99, but in the flash sale, they're 50% off.

So only £40.

FWIW, I have the old/original Fizik shoes you sometimes see being punted out cheap these days. Glam-rock silver things. 43s, which size-wise comes about as you'd expect, maybe a _fraction_ smaller (my other non-cycling shoes come in at 42.5 and 43: the Fiziks could be a touch smaller with no issues, but I wouldn't want them any bigger). Lots of volume around the toes (lovely) and best of all a nice, big, fat arch support, which funnily enough is what out so many people off buying them (and the daft RRP of £225, 5 years back). It's like waking with a tennis ball trapped under your foot, and for that (or should I say the arch support offered) I love them: nothing comes close.

However, for the later (more "mesh") shoes, Fizik narrowed the toe box and made it more pointy, and dropped the arch support. Ruined them do me, at least.

I have normal feet and have worn 44 for years in everything from DM's to trainers to walking boots through brothel creepers, ice skate boots, Birkenstocks and ten pin bowling shoes

Ever since Ive been cycling (a looooong time) I have bought Spesh shoes/boots in a 44 because they just fit

In a Planet X sale a while ago I bought a pair of stunning 44 Fizik R1 pearlescent white disco shoes which were just a bit too tight for comfort at a bargain price
I wore them for long enough to realise they wouldnt give but too long to exchange them at PX - they were absolutely stunning, and cheap, which is why I persevered

So in conclusion Fizik fit too narrow for my feet - you may be OK, try before you buy

Update.
Ordered the Fizik R3s on Thursday night @ 10pm and they arrived Saturday morning early with free delivery up to the Highlands is very good service!
Shoes are very comfortable and look very smart with the sizing perfect where the Giros came up slightly small.

Very pleased and cheers for the replies. smile
