  1. 1 son is after a flat bar hybrid for his birthday, he asked it be 105 10-11speed, ridgid frame and hydro disc braked, other than that anything will do, I have same setup on a Planet-X London road, but he wants something different than his old man. Budget, £800 ish I suppose.

... having said that, I'm collecting parts to build my lad a London Road. Just waiting until they discount the Zesty Lime frame to finish the collection.

London Road hehe There's more than a few on here with them, or buying them wink
Just in a different colour to his old man's.

Here's mine in 1x10 (40T, 11-36) with awesome Shimano hydro brakes (£40 the pair) and mahoosive 40c+ tyres.

A mate of mine just bought a black LR frameset for a similar flat bar build. With these Compass Bon Jon Pass skinwall tyres.

My London road frameset is at my parentswaiting to be collected... Went with the blue because it's the only one currently on offer. That lime green one is popular so I don't think it will be on offer on the near future. £150 for ally frame and carbon fork is cheap though and I've got most parts. What headset have people used?

In anticipation of a price drop for the Zesty one, I bought a £15 "Lifeline" headset from Wiggle. Perfectly fine. Identical to the FSA one on my Whyte 901 (I have it in pieces at the moment).

The blue is back at £299 today.

I would also vote for the barman hybrid i have had a comp for about 5 years and its spot on for the money, i think theres £150 off the 2014 model too on the halyards website, gives a bit spare cash to fit some better tyres to it.

Boom! Autocorrect has outdone itself in that post!

barman = Boardman?
halyards = Halfords?

Took mr indecisive around the LBS this morning, nearly settled on a Cube SL but called in on a different shop on the way home and ended up putting a deposit down on a Giant Rapid 1. Last shop let him ride around on a few & were generally very helpfull, couldn't convince him on the Planet-X LOL
