2016 really is the year of the Reaper.

For those not into downhill mtb, the tragedy in this is simply explained; 26 years old, a few seasons into a very promising World Cup downhill career, a popular guy and a sudden, unexpected death.

This clip of him training, before breaking into the professional league, is prescient and always used to raise the hairs on the back of my neck - the determination and humility of it. Today, it's a bit dusty here i think:

very sad, especially so young. i was watching seasons the other day ahead of a short mtb break in scotland. clearly very talented.

Not good... Too many young mtb racers has passed away in one year or so. Makes me sad Yeah, i heard that too that he was a very nice man.
