What bike (agian) £3k

Hi All,

friend of mine is after a new bike. Looking to spend about £3k. Has to be Red, white/black (god knows why.)

Something aero would be nice as he's been doing some duathlons. Di2 is also high on the priorities.

I'm trying to talk him into a Cervelo S3.

Doesn't have the white in the paint scheme your pal wants, but looks the business to me! I have a year old £1600 version of this bike, I love it.

A few of us have the S3, I have nothing bad to say about it at all. Its just sublime, all the hype was that they used the rear end of the Rca so its comfy and the front end of the S5 so its aero... beyond the hype, it just works. It looks ace, its stiff, it comes with good finishing kit, no bike around that price will be a bad bike but the S3 is superb and your mate will love every mile of every ride. My other option was the Cannondale SuperSix, but I got a good reduction on the S3 as it was the old 2015 colour scheme so it was a no-brainer.

Someone I've recently met a few streets from me has a very lovely Specialzed Venge in Red/White/Black, but I've no idea what model or how much it cost, as it didn't feel appropriate to ask at the time.

Cracking looking bike. I had an opportunity to buy a Venge Comp at £1700 a few years ago. Should have done it

I actually prefer the look of the old Venge over the latest model.

That looks like exceptional value. I wonder what the frame geometry is like though?
