What durable tires for Cyclocross 700x35c

Hello,
I have bought a cyclocross bike. It came with Continental cyclocross race tires. After about 100 km i rode over some rubble, there were some stones in one place and one of them punctured my tire making a hole which made it unusable.
I saw that this Continental cx race tire was quite thin and soft because it's made for cyclocross races. I don't know if i was unlucky or it's just a weak tire ? Before i rode about 30 000 km on MTB with 26x2.0 schwalbe hurricane and smart sam 26x2.1 and rode over some stones and it never created a hole like that. Maybe wider tires are more tough ?

I would like to buy some more durable tires. I'm thinking about schwalbe smart sam and CX Comp 700x35. I see that smart same on schwalbe page is descrbed that it can take 100 kg load and CX Comp 60 kg, so i suppose that smart sam might be tougher but smart sam weights 450 gram and CX comp weights 480 grams so maybe CX comp is not that weak if it has more weight?

I ride mostly on asphalt and sometimes light offroad so i think that smart sam or CX comp can be good for me but i'm a little afraid that smart sam might lose knobbies fastly when making sometimes long pavement rides like 100 km.

I was looking also on Touring tires but i have impression that they might be too heavy and stiff for offroad, i think that they are made of hard durable rubber and is not going to flex over bumps. I don't want very light and soft tire either so i think somewhere between might be smart sam.

Do You have any ideas? Maybe some other tires in this price like smart sam?

Clement MXP here, survived chunks of the downs which is especially horrible on a CX bike! As well as racing in multiple conditions!

Racing Ralph's for me, a fairly good mix of coping with muddy stuff until you try and go through a bog and comfortable on the road

I've got Schwalbe Tyrago 35c tyres on my cx bike.

Seem to be pretty free rolling on the road and plenty good enough for the light off road I've used them for. Reinforced with Kevlar too so have some good puncture resistance.

I used to have Rocket Ron and Racing Ralph on my old cross bike and picked up a fair few punctures when riding off road (mainly thorns). On my Diverge I now use 28c Conti 4 Seasons and *touch wood* haven't punctured so far. They are obviously great on the road and they are fine for bridleways, tow paths etc unless it's really boggy. It actually surprised me how versatile and tough they are.

How about the Three Peaks Cyclocross favourite, Schwalbe Landcruisers? Awful, but indestructible.

I have been reading about these tires and I think I will decide to choose schwalbe cx comp. My weight is about 70 kg and I have read some reviews that this tire is quite tough. Not as tough as marathon or land cruiser but it's lighter. I have always tube and pump with me so I don't need something as heavy. I need something like my smart Sam 26x2.1 or hurricane 2.0 on my MTB, it rarely punctured for me so I think it's enough compromise between toughness and weight. I have read that cx comp are 50 TPI and continental cx race are 84 for wire version so cx comp should be stronger. Cx comp weights 480, continental race - 420 and smart Sam 450 so I think that cx comp should have more rubber and be quite strong. I wrote the I want durable tire because I have destroyed this continental cx race so easily on stone but I have read that they are rather for racing on prepared cyclocross paths without any hard obstacles, they are soft, thin and light and weak. Maybe I had bad luck when I made hole on stone? Or maybe it's just that weak tire, I'm not sure, maybe both. As I read reviews that some people write that they weight 100 kg and did 4000 km without bigger problems on cx comp then I think it should be enough tough for my 70 kg.
