Decent BMX for six year old

My lad has an Islabike Cnoc that he loves riding but is too big for. His feet are like Roadrunner, a blur, he need something in higher geared as well as physically larger. He absolutely loves going to our local BMX track on his Cnoc so I'm thinking that maybe he'd enjoy a proper BMX bike more than the larger Isla.

Any recommendations on a good quality BMX that he can race on and where to buy?

depends on budget but I'd just ask around at the track, there will most likely be people selling their old bikes. BMXs are bombproof and as he will out grow it quickly, you dont necessarily need to spend a fortune. Try here http://www.winstanleysbmx.com/category/1392/16_Inc... as you can get 16" BMXs if he isnt ready for 20" wheels, Stolen and Wethepeople both do 16s and are "good" makes in so far as track kudos goes but then I am down with da kidz...
