I had forgotten what a good feeling riding bicycle is..
Discussion
when I was little I was riding my crappy 20euro poverty bicycle all day everyday,it had barely any brakes, was way too big for me and was a women's bicycle ,it wobbled at super high speed and was dangerous as hell but it was my best toy ( no PC's or phones back then...nor did I had any much toys back then as well, I guess my next favorite toy back then was Tamagochi or Tetris )
years came and went, got better things to do, now I got all the latest tech everyone could wish for, got few expensive cars... but life has become so boring. Today returned to my old home ,In shed while looking for some stuff I found my old bicycle.. almost a couple decades later it's still there sitting waiting for someone. Cleaned it up, oiled it all up, bought new tubes from local shop (cost me 6euros for 2, that's all it really needed), some 2hours later I had my old bicycle up and running again.
It was super nice sunny and warm day today,
The result, Just spent 2hours riding around the city and having again the best time of my life! Met so many people I hadn't seen for years ( while just driving with car everywhere you don't get much time to go out and explore or stop for someone).
Damn those feels...

You can put the saddle back on now.
Ice cold! O/P I'm with you - got myself back into cycling in the last couple of years and it's a great way to exercise and enjoy the outdoors, although I don't have time to chat to people when I'm cycling - tend to try and average 30kph

nice. what kind of bike you got now that is able to do 31kph?
after today I feel Like I should try to buy some 2nd hand good bike, my current ( not sure what brand it is, it's some old soviet union bicycle I guess) is just terrible but hey it can move forward so at least that's good.
Just a basic Boardman roadsport (no carbon) and lots of practice after today I feel Like I should try to buy some 2nd hand good bike, my current ( not sure what brand it is, it's some old soviet union bicycle I guess) is just terrible but hey it can move forward so at least that's good.
Built up from 5k rides at 160 seconds per km average to 20k rides at 115 seconds per km average. itaa said:

Definitely try a good secondhand bike to see how much you really like riding, especially on something halfway decent. I got my son a Specialised Allez, but anything from Trek or Giant would be as good. He doesn't use it much, I'm tempted to make it my winter bike, but I could probably sell it for about what I paid.after today I feel Like I should try to buy some 2nd hand good bike, my current ( not sure what brand it is, it's some old soviet union bicycle I guess) is just terrible but hey it can move forward so at least that's good.
