L'etape du Tour London

Just did Ridelondon100 as my first sportive. Looking for the next challenge in September. Ideally something in the South-East but i'm also a bit bored of the Surrey Hills having trained there a lot the last 4mths.

Saw L'Etape du Tour London advertised for 25th Sept. Anybody got any experience of this from last year? Worth a look?

My suspicion is its just a sportive on a not-that-interesting bit of countryside, but tarted up so that entrants can claim they 'did the TdF' or whatever in the office on monday morning. Thoughts?

Similar position to yourself, just completed Ride London & was hoping to increase the distance a little bit.

I've seen a couple of 15% discounts kicking around, worth bearing in mind if your going to book up.

Let me know how you get on if you do do it & i'll bear it in mind for next year.

I was tempted, but ended up going for the wiggle 100 in the new forest that weekend as it's easier to get too and a bit nicer part of the world to ride. A few quid cheaper too.
