Cycling jersey for a 4 year old

Looking for some collective wisdom from the masses. I'm a keen cyclist, and my eldest son was riding a bike without pedals by the age of 3 and a half. He's keen, and the next thing he "wants" is a cycling jersey like Daddy wears.

I'm not one of those parents that gives them everything they want, but he is enthusiastic, and I want to feed that enthusiasm. I've been offered a ride in the guest car at the Tour of Britain, and turned it down so I can watch the race come through our home town with my family.

Anyway to get to the point, I want to get him a cycling jersey, but not pay the earth for it. He's almost 4, average size, and the best option I can find is only available in age 5. I might just bite the bullet and have him wear it a bit baggy.

I bought a small cycling top from Decathlon for my 8-year old daughter. I'm not too sure how small their sizing goes though

Our club gets its kids kit from Wildoo, but I can find no evidence of them doing kids kit on their website...

I got one of these (different colour) for my 5 year old daughter . It was a bit on the big side, but she loved it as it made her a "proper" cyclist. She soon grew into it.

There was a stall at the RideLondon regisration at ExCel which had proper cycling tops for nippers down to that age or even lower. Can't recall the name but they did a lot of branded ones like Mr Men, Jelly Belly etc. so maybe a Google with turn them up?

Edit: Must've been Scimitar which you've already seen, down to 5yo or so it seems.

Dcathalon do good kids stuff, seems to start at eight though. I'm sure I saw younger stuff in the store though? Try the German websites too, bike24 and bike-discount

My boy has a Scimitar jersey, we let him pick his own at the bike show in London. It's the smallest they do, XS, but he is 3 and it isn't massive on him.

I'm pretty sure Wildoo go really small because he has one that's got a bit of growing room and they definitely do smaller. The only problem with that is I'm not sure you can get them outside of being in a club or designing your own custom one which will probably be expensive.

Decathlon sizing is a bit random - my son is just 8 and one of the shortest in his year at school (must get that from his mum!) but he needs age 10 stuff from Decathlon. We've got quite a lot of stuff there and it's good value - definitely worth a look if there is one close.

The Spindaroos look great, but get properly expensive with shipping. I went for a yellow Polaris one of my first link from Chain Reactions, as they dropped the price again. If he wears it a lot, (ie won't wear anything else) I can get the red and black ones too, for not a lot of money.

I'll keep an eye on the Sky ones when the season ends, as Rapha and Sky are parting ways at the end of this season.
