Keeping chain oil off trousers

My cycle is used mainly for my 2 mile (each way) commute, and I own not a single bit of cycling Lycra.
My problem is the unguarded chain/cranks lead to me getting very oily trousers, especially as I finally got round to putting some oil on the chain.
Is there a recommended after-market chain guard that will stop the oil? A quick browse on Amazon led me to either a guard that required the whole bottom bracket being dissembled or one which covered the sprocket only.

Clean off any oil-based lube (use a degreaser) just the once, then apply a single drop of "Squirt" to each chain roller before you put the bike away. All your future chain-cleaning needs can be done with a dry brush, or in extreme conditions, with soapy water. The lube just dries into a lubricating wax. Put too much on and it hardens and falls off with use. Me, I use it before, or after if I remember, every ride, but that's on a MTB. I'm sure you could be less fussy on a commute bike.
I've been using it for a while now, and the only time it failed me was when I rode through thick gloopy mud, and puddles deep enough to submerge the lower (return) run of the chain. No wet lube would have coped with that either, IMHO. I now refill the sample size bottle and keep it in my saddlebag - it dries quickly enough that you can re-apply it during a ride if needs be. I've only had to do that the once though, in more than seven months.
The brand was introduced to me at 'Battle on the Beach' this year, by way of a free sample and also free application at the sponsor's bike wash facility. Only place I could find it to buy was Wiggle, though...
