Nice kids bike?

My boy is growing out of his 20" Islabike, and I am looking for something bigger for him. I do like the Islabikes, hes gone through a couple of them that will now be passed down to his younger brothers, but they are absolutely everywhere now and I'd like something a bit more individual.
So any Ideas? He is 7.5 years old 136cm or so, so I guess a 24 inch or small 26 inch bike should be possible. Has to be cool(obviously), light weight and well made. Open to different styles of bike, but main use is a run to the local park, so gravel road and a bit of grass. Some jumping etc, but nothing at all specialized. New or second hand.

I don't think he'll be big enough for a 26" bike. My 142cm daughter only just fitted a couple. We got a 24" as it was much better for control and comfort.
Cube did some 24" MTB bikes.
There was a Czech brand of very lightweight high-end bikes I saw at the cycle show which looked really good. Can't remember the brand name right now, but it'll come back to me shortly. They would certainly be rare/different
On the 26" front, you could try Genesis, they did some small frame sizes and aren't common either

It felt really good. Looked smart and fitted my daughter a treat. She didn't like the polished aluminium finish

Yeah 26 will probably be a bit big. He is on the large framed 20" Islabike now, and it's not actually 'that' small. It's more that his little brother is fast growing out of his bike and I'm not buying another bike the same size so I'm buying a bigger one for the bigger boy.
I'd like to hear the name of that Czech company if it comes back to you.

Now Idea why, but I had the size of the boy all wrong, he is only 130cm. A 24 it will be.
I think a superior is on the card, a bit vain I know, but I like the idea that it less common (even if no one but me will ever notice).

I ask because although I thought my lad who was growing out of his Frog 52 would be best on a bigger Frog he wanted something with full suspension. Now unless you can afford 1500 quid for a Trek Fuel Jnr then the options are pretty limited. Carrera stopped making their Detonate a while back, it has a pretty decent frame but poor components. I picked a 2nd hand one up cheap and spent the summer making a fairly decent bike of it.

That's a great pic of your boy, bike looks sized right..! 
To be absolutely honest I don't think my son gives much of a sh*t as long as the bike looks cool and have gears. It's totally a case of me liking my toys, and I want him to have something nice. It will be 99% used for going to the park, but he likes to bombing down hills and finding the odd jump or two, so it needs(strong word in this context) to be competent as well.
Saw another nice looking bike on Evan's, the Charge Cooker. Unfortunately it has twist-grip gears (why??) so that's a no.
The red HOY is a real contender as it stands at the moment.

My lad is turning 8 next week - but is tall for his age at 142cm and like yours, has grown out of his Islabike.
26" bikes are all way too big for him, and expensive for anything half decent. His sister who is about 157cm (10 years old) fits a ladies small 26" and she got once recently that will last her good while.
Took the boy to sit on a few over the weekend - a 24" wheeled frame fits him well and will last him a good couple of years. I just ordered him this which he will be made up with:
