Titanium or stick with carbon for a winter bike?
Discussion
So having just dropped £4K on a Tri bike, this morning I have found a crack in a seat stay on my 2 year old Giant Defy Advanced Pro, no idea where or when this has happened and have to say not impressed. My old Felt winter hack died of a snapped chain stay after a big crash, the Defy replaced it.
I'm looking to go for a disc frameset and forks only and use the components from the Defy to keep the costs reasonable and give me a small project over the coming weeks.
Winter use only really, a few overseas sportives, Roubaix, Flanders and Amstel Gold this coming spring.
So looking around the £1k -£1350 bracket and a 58-61 cm depending on geo.
Any recommendations? Like the look of the Lynskey R250 R265 or the Sportive.
