Gps theft tracker anyone got experience?
Discussion
I've had my bikes stolen last week, from an outbuilding they just undid the screws from the hinges and opened it wrong side, before I replace them I am going to town on security, security bolts, steel clad door, gsm alarm, deadlocks, ground anchors.
But I also like the idea of a secret tracker, anyone got one?

The Robinson wasnt in there luckily enough, thats in the kitchen now.
I've seen backlights with GPS senders, so i could leave it on charge on the bike, they have movement sensors in them and the power will last a few days apparently.
I have a GSM alarm now so if the door is breached i get a phone call, im a few minutes away at work and they are going to be ground anchored, I am also looking at WiFi cctv too.
But i would like to buy a GPS device that someone has used and works!

Do not waste your money on these! They are absolutely useless. I put one on my cat to see where she went - If you are less than one metre from her it won't pick up a signal as you need Bluetooth connectivity with a device sync'd to the dongle. Absolutely pointless device.
Also, the accuracy even when in range is pathetic - it was at least a 20 metre wide guesstimate when you are 1 metre from it.
The claims are so wide of the mark for this it is verging on fraud!

I like the look of these but dang that website is unconvincing.Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

ds. did the Robinson get pinched too? problem with trackers is that they need power. how you will do this on a bike, I'm not sure. you just got to make it as difficult as possible. if they really want it, they are having it
