French mountain biking

[missing the VR6]

Hello all,

I'm driving down for the standard week in Morzine in July, this time I'm doing the drive on my own and was thinking is there somewhere I could stop on the way for a ride to break the journey up. Does anyone have any ideas?

You could try la saleve but you're nearly there. Or la bresse has some stuff and is kind of on the way.
