Anybody else following this? It's a fascinating proposition. At least 18,000 miles in 80 days (~230 miles / 360km per day). Mark has a full support crew, which is a style I've not yet tried, but I'm interested to see what difference it makes to have proper controlled nutrition, technical support and a comfortable place to sleep each night. It sounds much easier than it is. Best of luck to him.

GCN followed him on his first day and he's also recording everything through Strava. He's been fortunate with strong tailwinds in the first week but he'll need to bank some extra miles while the going is good in Europe because I'm sure there'll be some less favourable roads and weather conditions elsewhere on his route.

I've been watching the posts on Strava too.

16 hours at 15 mph is 240 miles. That's quite a days work.

(Forget what I said about TT bars, he's got 'em. Duuurrr me.)

He's been featured on the ITV4 TdF coverage a couple of times already. Good luck to the miserable bugger hehe
