Looking at the picture of the bike and the spec I'd say the frame isn't the weakest link.

Those cheap Axis Classic wheels and square taper bottom bracket and crank are the boat anchors.

Once they're taken care of then I'd consider things like a PX Full Monty frameset or maybe a 2nd hand XLS as they appear to be loosing favour in the CX ranks due to their poor mud shedding ability (too tight behind the crank) but if you want to muck about on it and dont plan getting knee deep then it'll be fine.
