Picked this unusual bicycle up recently for the princely sum of £45. It's a Sprick Active Comfort from the 80's and very PH s it was designed by a product designer called Odo Klose who designed a lot of interior items for Mercedes

I knew exactly what it was having seen the photograph below. Mine is not in this condition with the frame mostly the colour of rust and the original white with white wheels.

It's not very sophisticated bicycle but it takes a bit of time to get used to the odd shaped handlebar and the brake lever on the back but the speedo is a nice touch.

I haven't seen another in the UK as yet the plan is to strip it down and get the frame powder coated and built it back up cleaning and changing any rusty bits.

I have seen several on German sites for anything from 400 euro to a fully restored one for 1000 euro. But it's a a short summer project I hope to finish by the end of August.

Definitely looks like it was designed by someone with a better idea of product design than mechanical engineering! wobble

But you get a fun project and the potential of a tidy profit, whats not to like!

Agree, for a bicycle called 'Active Comfort the seat is bloody uncomfortable
