Downhill in Morzine

Heading out to Morzine next week, anyone been and hired bikes, would prefer a recommendation over going blind as I have read some of the shops rental bikes are hanging from being thrashed. I need 6 so I guess it's best to pre-book?
Also any must-do runs out there? The group I'm with is a bit of a mix of abilities so will probably split up so the less experienced guys can do some gentler runs first.

I was out there at the end of June and hired a transition patrol from a shop called the woods. Excellent service well looked after bikes, no complaints, would hire from them again. Would also consider fb freeride next to plenty lifts they hire out Santa Cruz stuff. Enjoy your holiday it's a great location
I've just returned from 3 weeks riding over there.
I guess you'll be getting the PDS pass so you can ride the whole area?
Les Gets has the easier trails I would say, although the braking bumps are a bit of a killer. There's also the stuff over the Nauchets side which is good fun and caters for everyone.
I think my favourite trails run under the zore lift (after supermorzine). Loads of berms and table tops ranging in sizes to build your confidence up.
Avoriaz has some nice trails, although they seem really slick when they are wet. Tyres don't seem to cut into the clay top surface at all.
There's a really nice red under the Chaux Fleurie lift.
Chatel - Some really big stuff here, even the green trail is probably what you would call a black over here.
The swiss national DH track is excellent. Follow the black signs from the top of the mossettes lift.
Champery has the WC DH track. Didn't ride this as one lad didn't feel too confident about it. But from what we saw it does look steep in places, even the VTT getting there is pretty tech.
There's loads of off piste all over the place, but the stuff we found was pretty unrideable in the wet despite our best efforts
Sorry can't help with bike hire places, but make sure you get the brakes swapped over, whoever you go with.

We have been using alpine sports for a few years they are excellent ,drop the bike off every night and they service it ,the family trail hit fast isn't really for families ,the red under le pleny is crazy , the black at the top of le pleny is really rideable you may need a guide for the hidden runs ,chatel is ok but we prefer the off piste just get full armour unless you are an expert morzine chatel les gets is epic .

I popped out for Crankworks this year but flew so didn't take my bike, and thought I'd live the DH dream on a Santa Cruz V10 hired from FB Freeride. Pretty good service although no interest in helping me get it set up. My mate lives in Morz and speaks highly of The Woods.
