Short reach bikes

I have a Cannondale Badboy L which is giving me back ache. On investigation, the reach is too long.
Does anyone know of a MTB with short reach? I looked today at a Whyte 629 Medium which seemed good, but above budget.
Ideally, I want to sell the badboy and add £100 ish to the pot.

Reach is determined by frame size, and sometimes stem size. You can buy all MTBs in a variety of sizes.
