Solid budget wheels

The freehub body on my 2009 Allez's original wheel has cracked near the end, bits snapped off and will no-longer retain a cassette locknut. I noticed when I had taken it apart to try and get the pawls clicking again as they'd got clunged up. Pawls etc. were not something I'd looked at before so I learned something anyway. They never give away super-nice wheels with a budget bike and these are nothing special. Mavic CXP22 rims with specialized branded hubs (internet says probably joytech). So I'm not going to spend time and money finding and putting a new freehub on.

So, shiny new wheels!

These any good? I can't find any details on them to speak of, but for £109.00 and no hassle they might be worth looking at.

What other basic factory wheels might fit the bill?

I recently taught myself how to build a wheel, so if I can manage that for only a bit more cash I might be tempted, what's the realistic minimum spec/spend on hubs, tape, spokes and hubs? Would these wheels be better than a basic factory option?
