Frame mounted pumps / inflators

Having needed to use my mini pump for the 1st time at the weekend, i'm now looking to get a replacement! Thing was ruddy useless.
Any recommendations, and equally, ones to avoid?
Never used a CO2 inflator, but happy to try
Must be frame mounted (or fit in a seat bag)
Not too fussed about weight, but would prefer lighter
One that won't make me look like Pop-eye after he's necked a couple of cans of the green stuff

Dirt cheap and I found it really effective when needed. I'm not going to claim it's the made out of the most hard wearing materials, so not sure how long it will last, but for less than £3, I can't complain.

I'd not used CO2 before, but wasn't sure.
I bought a CO2 inflator from Aldi, and then bought another one (for my other bike).
As luck would have it, they're in store again right now - a CO2 inflator and one cartridge for £4.99, and a separate purchase of 4 x 16 gram CO2 cartridges for another £4.99 will give you a few spares...

...the inflator has worked well for me when I've needed it, and it comes with a foam sleeve so your hands don't freeze to the cartridge when you use it, and the refill pack comes with another sleeve as well. Just be sure the 'tap' is in the closed position before you screw in a fresh refill (don't ask how I found that out...
).
As for pumps? I bought a Lezyne Road Drive pump. It's quite long, so not happy in all jersey pockets, but it's where I keep mine without too much drama. Won't work with my baggy MTB tops though. It comes with a frame mounting bracket, but my current bike is a fat-tubed carbon fibre effort, and the bracket is designed to work with more traditionally shaped 'round' tubes. Extremely well made, is Lezyne kit. You can get different (shorter) designs too, which will fit better in your jersey pocket.

...and it was as good as it ever was. Fully inflated my 25c x700 tyre/tube to proper operating pressure, not some half-arsed 'limp home' solution. So good in fact that I didn't bother "wasting" a CO2 cartridge on it in the end.
It was at the top of a hill rep circuit I'd set out to do, on my first circuit. The tyre was then fine for 13 more circuits of the hill, and the ride home without further issue. I've had so many crappy cheap (and not so cheap) pumps over the years that have been next to useless when you're relying on them, and absolutely no issues with the Road Drive save for losing one of the rubber end caps (my own fault). I will not, from now on, either use, or recommend anything but Lezyne pumps to anyone daft enough to ask me...
