I pulled my MTB out of the garage in August and have been riding regularly, mostly off-road ever since.
My 2017 mileage so far: 23 rides / 424.3 miles / 41h 40 mins / 20,928 feet elevation.
Nothing compared to most people, but it's been good to get back riding for fun this year!

I passed the 10,000km mark on Wednesday. Aiming to hit 12,750km for the full year so I've beaten 2016 and 2015 combined, but it's going to be close. I've done an awful lot less running than last year and no swimming but overall training hours are still up.

Set myself a 4000 mile goal this year, to date:

204 rides
3220 miles
196 hrs
148,258 ft

Need to average around 80 miles a week for the rest of the year to hit the 4000.

I don't record mine consistently.

My phone has cyclemeter on it and it says 58 miles, 1 ride

Elev Gain: 52,359m

October has been rubbish, but prior to that I was on course to hit 6,000km/60,000m for the year - still aiming to do so.

I set a goal of 3000 miles this year.

I was on track to smash it, until I got married, went on honeymoon then came back and hit the cycling too hard and injured my knee.

Now I'm over 200 miles behind and only able/allowed to do 20 miles a week, so never going to do it now frown

I'm on 2400 overall though, so haven't done that bad (all recreational miles, no commuting or anything)

Goal set at 2017 miles for the year.

Current totals are:

2147 miles
79 rides
157 hrs 37 mins
63,560ft

Should end up around 2500-3000 miles for the year.

I started on a road bike back in 2014....

Hang on, this is a thread about cycling distances and most of you are talking in miles nono

I set myself a target of 3500km for this year but have just ticked over 4000 so am now aiming to top 5000. It’s not too hilly on most of my rides so I’ve only got 35,000m of elevation.

I’ve two young kids and a wife who likes to fill our social calendar every weekend so finding time is difficult. I’m only just beginning to (sort of) enjoy the 5am rides in the dark and pissing rain now that autumn is here but I’m determined to hit target by the end of the year.

"Because Brexit, innit!"

My year so far? 5,071 tongue outMILES!tongue out

Target total was 6,000 for the year. With 66 days remaining I need to average a shade under 100 miles per week to get to the total now. Not too hard to achieve but I've been doing a considerably lower average mileage these past four or five weeks compared to earlier in the year. Best I pull my finger out before the weather and the clocks going back take an even greater toll on my enthusiasm...

Some fine totals there! I set a goal of 3000km for the year, with an average gradient of 1.5%. This would be the equivalent of 2015 and 2016 combined for me.

Yesterday, I made it to 3,019km (1,875mi) and 49,554m (162,579ft) of climbing (1.64%), so quite chuffed that with still 2 months to go. Combination of road and mtb - perhaps a 70/30 split.

Managing to get up at 0500 a few times a week and get an hour or so's riding done before the house wakes up and the hell of 3 young kids brings forth the day! Have also been helped by a much drier than usual winter, though spring/summer is predicted to be wet which means I might not get to 3,500km/58,000m target I've now set myself - need to find a way to get on the bike for a few hours at a time really.

Think I'm on a smidge under 500 miles of biking this year.

Two excuses though: miniMatt no.2 arrived in April (and unlike miniMatt no.1 who is awesome at sleeping, this one is rubbish), and I tore my Achilles in May which kept me off the bike for the best part of 3 months.

Need to get on it though as already booked a place on a century next year!

We do need to agree on units here or it's going to get very confusing!

I'm at a smidge over 8000km so far, should be over 10000 by the end of the year.

It has been a mountain bike year for me, very little road bike action, something I am keen to change next year.

825km (700 on MTB)
Elevation gain 13600m
Only 36 rides, fewer than one per week. Not big numbers, but I only got the MTB last October so I guess I should be happy enough to have progressed to red and black trails.

Of course, I don't measure any bike commute, which add up to 40km per week. With 4 weeks holiday taken and another few days skipped for various reasons, I've calculated it as about 1350km.

A total of 2175km or so. Next year will be better!

6892 km (4282 miles)
98,568 m (323,400 ft) of climbing.

On target for 8k in the year. Horizontal distance suffering a little at the hands of vertical; last month I had accumulated 88,000 m of climbing, and as I had planned a target of 10k m for October, I pushed it up a little to 12k for October. I should make it so long as Monday and Tuesday aren't blizzard conditions and either bike doesn't disintegrate over a weekend when they won't get any use.

What a depressing thread. frown

Probably did less miles in a car than some people do on a bike.

67 hours
66 rides
1497km
8500m elevation gain! (I live by the sea)

Goal was 1500km for the year so I can rest over the cold winter months.

I wish. I'll have driven north of 30,000 miles by the end of the year.
