Was actually indoors doing a turbo session last night and my Garmin kept saying the touchscreen was locked when I tried switching screens/data fields.

It's done it before in the wet occasionally, but never indoors. Is there a way to stop this from happening? It's really annoying. Admittedly, that was the first time it's done it for quite a few months.

Cheers

Mine does this, it's really fekking annoying.
As you say most frequently in the wet, when it basically loses the plot.
Unfortunately I think it's just a ste bit of kit (I'm on my 4th, having replaced it 3 times under warranty), next time it fails I'll be looking at the Wahoo alternatives.
Sorry not much help, just felt the need to share!

If you hold down the power button constantly it will reset, annoying but you can then turn back on and continue activity. Is it due to you leaking all over it and the general heat?

Mine has never done that indoors or in the dry. Every time it’s seriously wet though. It’s probably the worst Garmin device I’ve ever owned and despite being four or five years old it still has loads of niggles.

Not due to sweat, it wasn't especially hot and I have a huge 240W fan keeping me cool!
