Lately i've been looking to go off the beaten track, and using OS maps to find bridleways, roads which i've not previously encountered and most of it on the move. It's not something that I think any of the GPS providers are doing, so i'm looking at getting something which will put my phone in view, at least in view of a quick stop to check a route rather than stopping, pulling it out of my pocket and then putting it away again as several times a ride really eats into riding time.
Anything suitable that people are using? Its a Moto g5 so its a generic 5.5 inches rather than tailored for the likes of Apple or Samsung.

How about a bag that fit onto the frame and handlebar stem, something like this..

I've got this one, or one very similar. Works well, and the other pockets are handy for little items as well.

Looks like a decent little bag for carrying a bit more than a saddle pack. How easy is to operate your phone under the plastic?
