Has anyone ever had their bike done?

I was looking to get mine done as I'm getting fed up of the matt carbon effect on mine and fancied something brighter. Looking around, there doesn't seem to be many options. It therefore got me thinking, this could be a gap in the market.

I've just got some sample wrap (next door neighbour works in this industry) and I'm going to give it a go. Even just buying a roll of the stuff, like the Xpel wrap could be cut up into "frame protection" kits at a massive mark up.

Thanks,
Matt

I tried wrapping my roof bars on the car .... what a PITA gave up and handed it to a mate who's co does it, came up great.

I bike will equally be a PITA ... hiding the joins won't be easy either. Just go for a spray paint as I did, probably wont work out that more expensive inc labour.

I wrapped parts of both my bikes with clear PPF to protect them from cable scuffs and chips etc.

Bought a 5m roll of "rhino" film off eBay for £10. Cheap but does the job.

You can already buy pre-cut kits for frame protection

I had my new full suspension MTB wrapped in Invisiframe by the shop who supplied the bike, very impressed so far. 6 months in and it's taken my general bike neglect plus a week in the Alps and general trail riding very well.

Wrapping to change colour? I did the wifes bike as she didnt like Yellow. Good quality wrap is easier to use.

I considered getting my Orange Four done with Invisiframe, but decided that I'd just get it re-powdercoated in a better colour if needed. I just went with patches of helitape in key areas.

That's one great thing about Orange, getting it re-painted for a couple of hundred quid. I've still had my Alpine 6 Invisframed though.
